PIU Local Government: Empowering Communities & Local Growth

The Project Implementation Unit (LG&RD) focuses on grassroots development. We strengthen local institutions and build community-driven infrastructure to improve daily life and support rural economies.

  • Community Infrastructure: Paving internal village streets and installing drainage to end waterlogging. Construction of small bridges and culverts for easier movement of livestock and machinery.

  • Public Facilities: Building multipurpose community centers, market sheds, and drinking water schemes that serve as hubs for trade and social gatherings.

  • Institutional Strengthening: Hands-on training for Village and Union Councils in project planning, financial management, and infrastructure maintenance.

  • Self-Sustainability: Helping local bodies generate their own revenue through market fees and digital tax systems to ensure long-term maintenance of community assets.

  • Inclusive Development: Ensuring all projects are climate-resilient and accessible to everyone, including women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
